Their unique position ensures that they benefit from plentiful sunshine and cool breezes thanks to the elevation and the advantageous encounter of Mediterranean and Continental climates. Our groves survived the devastating 1985 frost, which nearly destroyed olive oil production in Tuscany. We are lucky to have great craggy hundred-year-old trees, a rare and beautiful sight in this area.
